November 10th 1974
Waipukurau, New Zealand David is born, youngest of four sons to Ian and Wendy.
1974 - 1980
David lives in Waipawa, New Zealand, what could be described as a two horse town, except that it shares a horse with neighbour Waipukurau. David remembers tomato soup on sunday nights watching the Wonderful World of Disney, Bullrush and the BMX track next to the dump.
1980 - 1984
David moves with his family to Gamadoudou in the Milne Bay Provence of Papua New Guinea, to an area that was an American Base during World War 2. No, his parents aren't missionaries.
David remembers Lego, Chong's and Chan's Supermarkets, huge insects and rusted war machines.
1984 - 1987
David moves to Napier, New Zealand.
1987
David moves back to Papua New Guinea, this time Bouganville. He lives there until the crisis.
1987 - 1996
Back in Napier. David attends High School then Art School. David meets Rachel at a party in High School, she steals his sunglasses. He spends some time the next morning looking for them.
David drops out of Art School. He works at Briscoes saving money for an overseas trip.
1996 - 1998
David moves to London, UK, where he fixes campervans and works for a retail security company. David marries Rachel at the Waltham Forest Register Office.
David tires of bum jobs and decides to return to New Zealand and study electronics.
1998 - 2002
Christchurch, David attends Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology. He graduates from CPIT with a Diploma in Electrotechnology (Computer Engineering) and a National Diploma in Engineering.
2002 - 2008
Ignoring advice from tutors, David moves from Christchurch (Silicon Gardens) to Wellington. He works at Repco, selling car parts. David attends Massey University, he sits a networking paper. He lands a job at Fuelquip as an Electronics Technician.
2008 - 2009
David lands a job at local Wellington company Radian Technology. He has Software Developer in his job title and enjoys varied tasks such as; Linux development, design, specification, implementation and testing as well as other interesting activities like mechanical drafting, procurement, manufacturing, assembly and stuff.
David watches the archery matches from the Beijing Olympics (on TV). An addiction follows. He joins local club Randwick Archery. He can usually be spotted at the range most Saturdays, and a few Sundays, and sometimes during the week before work and at lunch time, and after work in summer.

Another company employs David. Now he has Software Engineer in his job title.
